Our Boy Scout troop is the longest-running youth program at First Presbyterian Church, maintaining a continuous charter for more than 58 years. (Click here for a list of our Eagle Scouts.)
The values and skills that we teach in Scouting are ones that a Scout will carry throughout the rest of his life. Life skills, organizational skills, community involvement, self-reliance, leadership skills, caring for and protecting the environment and our natural resources, and trusting in God are taught to the boys that come through Troop 205.
With the values the Scouting organization teaches our youth, there is no doubt that the long-term benefit this organization offers continues to affect our growing generations of young boys as they mature into young men that we can all be proud of.
